Visiting The Well Within Workshop and getting bit by the paint brush was such a boost to my creative potential! I've almost always paired an image of some kind with my words -- usually photographs. To be able to draw/paint something to add meaning to a story feels extra special.
And creating the slideshow! Once I got the hang of pulling images from the web to create rooms... I couldn't stop. All it took to learn was a search, a generous soul's how-to video, and patience. And I have to say... I could have paid a service for hosting a gallery where I simply dropped the images in, but the triumph in doing it myself is sweeter than any of their fancy features.
Of course there are plenty of other things I'd rather pay for than do myself. The trick is figuring out which is which.
May I have this dance? The ceiling variety. A change of viewpoint is often helpful in refreshing our spirits, our outlooks and plans.
Your choice of quotes was great and served well as highlights for your post today! 👏🏼👏🏼 You kindled some thoughts about “selling ourselves” as a quest for greatness. Bravado. Hoopla. Exaggeration. Self aggrandizing claims. Photoshopped images.
I for one am pleased that you didn’t take that course of action! The real Gail. WYSIWYG 😉
Now it’s time for me to get some Poise! I liked the ideas from Robert and Bobby for buying 2 copies. “Hi, friend. I have a book for you and I feel certain you will enjoy it. Pssst! I know the author!” 😁
Yes! There is plenty of room for us all on the ceiling. 😂
WYSIWYG What I continue to play with and benefit from is making changes by doing the work to gain a skill or to "become" something new. Many years ago I wrote down a sentence from Rolf Gates book Meditations from the Mat. He said, "In our culture results get all of the attention while the process is overlooked." I now find great joy in the process! We like the way it feels when we earn it? I sure do! (I'm keeping up with the face yoga! 😁)
I remember when Robert first shared the 2 copy suggestion with me. It is indeed a splendid plan!
I like the slideshow! 💚 And I'm looking forward to seeing how you integrated it all in Poise.

Time to do a follow up podcast.
