Do you remember that famous clip of Sally Field accepting an award?

“You like me! You really, really like me!”

I do like Sally.
One of my favorite childhood memories finds me wrapped in a blanket in front of a forced-air heating vent, eating snacks, and watching her and Burt Reynolds on a cannonball run. I was also a huge fan of The Flying Nun in which she starred.

What’s sweeter than any award and/or admiration from the world?

How about…

“I like me. I really, really like ME!”

I have been on a journey of self-discovery and self-creation.
Many of you have been traveling with me along the way.
I thank you for your company, comments, and encouragement.
You rock!

Last year’s dance with cancer…
my resilience,
my willingness to be open,
refusing to be a victim…
were opportunities to employ the lessons and character traits
I’ve been working so doggedly to build.
