“We did it.” Urania swished one palm against the other as if she was removing imaginary sawdust.
I'm reminded of a quote from Michelangelo: " Trifles make perfection but perfection is no trifle."
I often think of imperfect things as just right for me... perfection makes me uneasy... like I'll never measure up or be worthy. And while just typing that I recalled this: https://www.amusingplanet.com/2017/08/the-art-of-deliberate-imperfection.html
What do you think about perfection Monty?
That's an interesting article. I would have added that Christians don't believe they are perfect either.
I've never thought of myself as being perfect. Sometimes I do things and leave them a little bit imperfect on purpose.
So will you paint the chair legs black? I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your studio.
Yes... I will paint them black otherwise it will needle me. :)
What I really took away from Saint Exupery’s quote is the idea of subtraction rather than addition. What is the simplest, engaging way to share... and still transmit what matters.
: )
Beautiful office, Gail. Maybe mine will look that nice... several trash bins and 21 years of removed junk later...
You’re a collector! Nothing wrong there, so long as it works for you?
