Years ago I was the king of deflectors! Any praise, even a kind word, I fended off reflexively. Feelings of unworthiness abounded. I don’t remember the specific incident, the utterer, or the words but I tried “Thank you” as my reply. My world of false beliefs about myself began to wash away. To this day there are people in my life whose kind words and deeds I treasure. I gratefully count you as one such person. Connection. 😁

"Where are those matches?" 😊💚
Thanks Jack! 🤗
My borrowed offering to you and Wandering Words. I searched “zealous” and found this cue of descriptors:

Thank you Gary. Your participation in my life is part of the person I continue to grow into. Thank you! ❤️

Mark Twain's words deliver a laugh!
Since you once commented about emoji missing teeth, I always choose the smile with top and bottom chompers. 😁
I wonder if the Japanese language professor, who popularized emojis by translating “Moby Dick” into emojis, used any with open mouths? 😁
This has all the makings of a rabbit hole!
I cannot dive in right now...
