Your comment about your first few essays not being worthy of applause? Is this one result from painting out loud?
You are familiar with my great appreciation of Joni Mitchell’s artistry as song writer, singer, and artist. She once quipped during a live performance, after someone in the audience voiced a song request: “Nobody ever said to Van Gogh, ‘Paint a starry night again, man.’ “
I might think of today’s feather in starry night terms. All the best to you and yours as a new year fast approaches.

A result tinged… with hope. Perhaps if I put my “first fumbles” on display others might see it’s not fatal to do so? 🤷♀️ I always come back!
Since I first discovered your writings, this is one of a lot of things I admire and respect you for.
Thank you Gary. 😊 As Markus Zusak so creatively shared, “We Are the Message”.
