Today over at 3musesmerge Calliope introduces herself and reminds us that we might have tendencies, but we are not fixed. Calliope is shifting her tendencies of timidity and shyness. She doesn’t want to hide anymore.
That said… She’d like you know she hopes you are not too annoyed with us blasting the same photos and information in multiple locations for a while.
“Cal… We don’t have to apologize,” Thalia scolded.
“Forever a work in progress.” The Muse of Harmony shrugged and picked up her paint brush, dabbed it in some green paint, and… your turn — use your imagination.
… promptly began drawing tulip leaves as her mind contemplated Spring’s arrival. “No, she thought. Maybe a wee bit of black to darken the green for a more authentic color!” (Note: this writer does not paint/mix colors. Also sees red and green rather poorly.)
For some in depth study of cat personalities I’d recommend Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats, by T.S. Elliot. Home of Winkin’, Blinkin’, and Nod.
But I digress.
You spoke recently about practice in your painting. One could paint the same cat multiple times. Another might paint multiple cats once. The former? A perfected version? The latter? Perfecting the depiction of multiple varieties and postures. Magnifico!
Nice necklace!
