Love chess, though I rarely win. Even have a chess board in my classroom. Had to put it away due to Covid, but look forward to taking it back out again.
Kevin taught me very early in our relationship. We used to go to The Coffeehouse in Normal where we'd hang out and play chess and drink coffee. I was a cheap date! But he's really good, so ALMOST beating him was the best I could do!
We started out in person, went remote about Thanksgiving, then went back to in person at the beginning of second semester. Of course, I've been gone since the end of January, and I miss them terribly. Got a message today from one of my girls asking when I'd be back because she missed me. It made my day! Hoping to go back on the 22nd.
I finished watching the film this afternoon. Have you seen it? So many great lessons. I continue to be amazed at the wisdom that’s creatively woven into art/entertainment.
