“Say something” A friend in college liked to heave a philosophical sigh and state, “C’est la vie!” as the occasion demanded. So I should dutifully intone, “Lah vee!” 🥸

I don’t remember if she ever actually hit me, or just threatened to.

Haha! If you were hit, it must have been pretty gentle. 😁

How about… Carpe diem! The scones are just now coming out of the oven.

No jam. Using up some rhubarb that I cut last week.

I just LOVE the shrugging emoji… Don’t you?

The diversity and complexity of emoji increases with each update to my iPhone OS. Even now, I’ll type a word and the phone suggests emoji that I’ve never seen before.

Perhaps I shared the story of the Japanese professor who decided to translate “Moby Dick” into emoji. And did, long ago, when many fewer were his choices!

Interesting. I’m part of a prompt call this afternoon. Centered around this video: https://youtu.be/YrZTho_o_is

It is about (in part)creating limitations to fuel creativity. When the sky is the limit, do you become paralyzed by the kaleidoscope of choices? I do.

I as well! I sometimes call myself a lifelong Liberal Arts student. Learning for the sake of learning. With interests ranging from science and chemistry to literature and on to psychology (with coursework on those at the college and master's levels) one of my interests today is keeping abreast of developments in those respective fields. And how do I choose? Analysis paralysis at times.

While not the same as creativity, keeping my brain fed with new, and sometimes contradictory, information is important to me.

Enjoy the call this afternoon! And how were the scones??

Delicious! I kept the muses to two triangles. :)

The recipe has cornmeal which makes for a lighter texture. Next time I'll try them with a different fruit.
