“Easy on the coffee this morning my fellow muses,” said Urania the practical. “We’re going to a live and in person coffee shop in a few hours.”
“Don’t want to be all jittery before we ever get there,” added Thalia.
Bakery dancing in her mind’s eye Calliope asked, “Are we going to spill it?”
“The coffee?” Thalia and Urania asked at the same time.
“Jinx!” said Thalia. “Can I have your 1/4 of the pastry delight?"
“No!… not the coffee… the news… about Wandering Words,” said Calliope.
“It’s a good thing she pulled The Art of Possibility off the shelf last week — a perfect time to be reminded about Rule #6,” said Urania.
“I don’t know why she feels so uncomfortable telling people about Wandering Words… do you guys get it?” asked Calliope.
“Well… she recognizes news about doing new things sometimes makes other people uncomfortable… and she doesn’t like the feeling… she doesn’t like to be the cause of discomfort,” said Thalia.
“You know what Anthony De Mello would say?” asked Calliope, “… the feeling is in them… just like her feelings are in her… we are all responsible for our own feelings.”
“What’s Rule #6?” asked Calliope.
“Don’t take yourself so g__damn seriously,” Urania and Thalia nodded at each other.
“Jinx,” said Urania. “And no, you cannot have my 1/4 of our celebration pastry.”
Wandering Words update: I pushed the magic button on the print version last night. Whew! It’s in Amazon’s hands now…
Woo-Hoo! So happy for you getting the book launched. Is the trip to the coffee shop a reward for this accomplishment? If so I hope there will be more than one. Think big!
I, for one, enjoy hearing about the accomplishments of friends and family, Gail, so never feel shy on my account! (BTW, a search on your name on Amazon shows that you are unique as an author! Also that Amazon’s search algorithm has some *very* odd result permutations...)
