“We need a walk,” said Thalia.
“Walk’s—not—hap—en—ing,” Calliope started a haiku.
“Ten—be—low—will—freeze—our—toes,” Urania added 7 syllables.
“Hai—ku—res—cues—us,” Calliope brought it home.
“I’m not worried about our writing…it’s that maple buttercream iced cupcake that’s weighing on my mind…and our waistline,” said Thalia.
“Seriously?” asked Urania.
“We wear flowing robes…and it’s fashionable to be plump,” Calliope added.
“Get with the century girls…you’re living in the past.” said Thalia. “Thin…is in!”
“And so are we…at least until the temp rises over the zero mark,” said Urania.
“Let’s bake something!” encouraged Thalia. “Me thinks we have all the ingredients for pumpkin pie…,”
Same here. Brrrr. I bought Kevin a Kitchen Aid for Christmas (he's wanted one for years!), and I think it's a great day for him to use it for something warm. He keeps making ice cream with it!
I like the way you think. Let's bake something!
