What a great idea! Think of the song that goes, “Dance with me, I want to be your partner” then substitute “fight” for “dance.” Or go back a little further in history. After WWI, Congress (yeah, that Congress) created the Department of Peace. What happened? Today we might call that an “unfunded mandate.” Maybe the Great Depression? Perhaps it was determined that “war” is more cost effective than “peace.” Wanna dance?
I grew up with Lawrence Welk and the “Lovely Lennon Sisters” every Saturday night. No small amount of polka music there! Is polka music still popular in your area? Do you know how?
It was Hee-Haw at my house! Sometimes my parents would go out to dinner and my brother, sister, and I got pizza. That was a big event! My dad would not eat pizza.
Popular? Ummm...maybe at the summer band stands up north?
Much to the chagrin of many there was a polka band at my wedding—Larry and Friends. No kidding!

After telling “other G” about yesterday’s conversation and today’s BFN, he shared this George Carlin link with me: https://youtu.be/aIkqNiBASfI
Sure! Let’s dance. I’m kind of fond of the polka.😂
