Long Live BFN! 😘 Apple must be better suited to Substack. My Windows laptop is more interested in coercing me to use their AI, not using Google on my laptop (dueling AI developers), and generally perturbed that I use Gmail. Nearly daily wrinkles from all that. 🤷🏽 Not the wrinkles on my face.

I just read some of Mary Oliver’s book, “A Thousand Mornings,” but instead of calming and centering I grew impatient. Between distractions and discomfort I didn’t bring proper focus to what I was reading. I wanted to blame Mary! 🙄 Yup! Three fingers pointing back at the pointer. Often the case.

So an early bedtime walk with Iz is my plan, then early to bed. Thanks for your reply on my head scratcher.

I’m just home from a walk. I met up with my neighbor and her adult daughter. I popped my AirPods out and we walked the entire neighborhood together.

We talked about… books! I learned that there is some kind of organization that makes book clubs for young moms accessible… I lack specifics. The creators recognized a need — moms of young children miss intellectual stimulation. 🤔

You wanted to blame Mary. 🤭

Mary and I worked that out. She advised, "Lose your mind and come to your senses!" As for what you learned about last night from your neighbor and her daughter, I notice your quizzical expression on the emoji. I can hear your wheels turning all the way down here. You might be wondering, "How can the mother of young children not have plenty to ponder?" Sometimes to the point of over stimulation!" amiright?

I will say that the experience of being a mother was both intense and learning-rich! At times it was lonely —

I can understand the desire, perhaps even a need, to step away. I think the book club is lovely idea.

Glad to hear Mary still speaks! :)

There’s a wrinkle that furrowed my brow. I’ll bet you know the easy-peasy way:

The message suggested I scan the QR code to register. I didn’t see that as being workable with the one phone in my hand? 🤷🏽 I took a screen shot and sent it to Beth, then I trained my camera on the image on her phone. If she were not here I considered printing the screen shot and pointing my camera at that printed image.

Do you know a streamlined way?

I/Thou,

Ingenious!

I didn’t think of that challenge because… I was working on the laptop with my phone in easy reach.

🤔 That’s how I tested to make sure it worked.

I do not have a streamlined way. This is why two, or three, or maybe even five thinkers are better than one!

For future reference, I can include an embedded link. 😁
