Yes, Vella would be an idea you should explore. Yes, I do have a Kindle and do about 85% of my reading with it. I don't like it much for internet searches etc as it is slower than molasses in December.

Are your conversations mostly over 600 words? I rarely write a story over 600. I could get around that by lumping a few together at a time?
I do like that Kindle is offering the short format. How many people “don’t have time” to read? Short format is a design solution?
I will have to go back and count words; I never worried about it before (just read times).
And I agree, Kindle is trying to get more writers into Vella. Somebody trying to make quota? 🤨
