Is Two Rivers indeed your home town and the same one in the photo? I watched the movie clip and would guess the guy wearing the cap is the city musician?
As to “universal alignment principles” I read a NYT article today that offered some ideas about managing anxiety and stress. A surprising part of the writer’s notions is that our brains are not for thinking! Rather, the brain’s primary role is to strive for and govern our physical well being. Her premise is that physical well being is the remedy for anxiety.
First...Eureka! Henny emptied all but 3 pieces of kibble from the cube this morning. IIRC, I only retrieved cube from tile to carpet once and gave a single push to release the coffee table's hold. :)
Yes...I hail from Two Rivers--East and West Twin. After I left for college, my father moved to the village of Two Creeks. haha! Truth.
Susie Q. has been there as long as I can remember. My friend/reader Sean sometimes makes trips up that way and shares a photo with me.
Physical well being certainly does wonders. That's how I found yoga...and I continue to benefit from the results and continued practice.
What I learned from yoga (that carries into every other area of living) has to do with awareness and balancing effort and ease across the body. No easy task. ;)
Highly highly recommend the book How Emotions are Made by the author of that NYT article. Our brain's primary function is to balance our bodies . . . and our "well-being" will follow. It is one of the best written (meaning "regular human" user-friendly) books about the latest science about how our brains work most optimally.
She is usually referencing “universal alignment principals”....when we go to fast, or are lazy...we lose our form. She’s referencing our physical...and I see application beyond.

Thanks for the additional nudge Tom! I am now more apt to follow through!
What does she mean by "it is in our nature to forget"?

Huh?
😂 Classes are now shared online! Would you like to join us tonight at 6 Central?
I'm likely to forget since it's apparently in my nature.
I can send you reminders!
I'll be taking a nap by then. Thx.
Houghton Mifflin? ACK! That's the enemy...er, competition. haha Although I remember using that reader as a child. haha
