Being "in flow" is how I think of it. Now, if only I could leap like Henny or fly like the pheasant...

Flow — Yes, that’s it for me, too. 😊

Flying pheasant + flying dog! Greg captured a great image. Had Henrietta been “on point” before the bird flushed? I can’t see (and wouldn’t expect) a leash in the image. By your tone she isn’t ten miles away now, right? A great success.

Henny by nature is a flusher, not a pointer. There was a time when I didn’t know dogs had specific inbred traits like that.

Ugh! The cord. Henny still seems like a flight risk. We’re afraid to let her go. 😬 She is listening well, I’m told, except for when she gets on a chase… which includes all critters, not just pheasant. We’ve got tools like a GPS and e-collar. One day we’ll have to trust.

Somebody probably does not want to come home and tell me he doesn’t have one of my muses! 😂

The DNR drops birds the day before hunting opens. It was on that evening G&H headed out for a trial run with the camera. N was home over the weekend and I’ll add we had “pheasant tenders” on Saturday.

I wasn’t positive I was seeing a tether to Henny in the picture. Do the State regulations permit only bagging of male pheasants? That was the case when I was growing up in PA. It seemed red foxes held the licenses that permitted their access to hens… Happy Monday!

Both are fair game.
