“Yesterday was awesome!” Thalia somersaulted and shouted.
Calliope rubbed her eyes. “What time is it?”
“Beats me,” Nia replied. “Humans are messing with their clocks again. It’ll take a few weeks for everyone to get back on the same page.”
“French fries, pizza, wandering, talking… shopping!” Thalia couldn’t stop the flow.
“That new parka will come in handy this winter,” Cal said. “Although the alliteration will be off… olive-brown parka does not pack the same poetic punch as purple parka.”
“Easily solved. We’ll only write about the purple parka then. Except for today.”
The "What time is it" question from my grandchildren invariably elicits the answer "now". Why do they find the answer unsatisfactory? Today the answer was "now plus one". Huh?
I struggled to get past the pizza image!
