Oops! I just ate a S’mores cookie...and hoping I don’t become a marshmallow.
On a more serious note, your topic about what we are looking for and how that affects outcomes seems applicable at many levels. Example: Do I watch the news? For an informed perspective, or just a small subset to confirm what I already think? Is there any “feel good” content that grounds me in my sense of shared humanity? A recent term is “doom scrolling” for folks who wear calluses on their fingers from constant swiping of their “smart” devices. What is the “scroller” looking for? I need another cookie!
Please...let's not talk about spicy nacho Doritos, ice cream of any flavor, or mint iced chocolate brownies. 😂
I am not a psychologist...nor do I play one on tv...and yet, as an observer of life it seems to me that humans long for connection. If we do not find it through growth and positive activities, are we easy prey for those who might want to manipulate us (with intent, or not) into doing as they do, saying what they say?
I just chose a stick of gum over the chocolate chip cookie on the counter. +1
