On Sunday 2x2x4 (legs, that is) traveled forest path. A lifetime of connection allows quiet togetherness. Shared space does not demand words.
Occasionally, one or the other picked up and shared the beauty of a fallen oak or maple leaf.
Yesterday, 2x4 traveled forest path. A lifetime of connection requires few words,
C’mon Henny
Leave it!
Let’s go
Don’t chase t h e…s q u i r r e l!!!
After Sunday’s walk, I was attuned to the leaf litter below my sneakers.
I wanted to share the beauty with Sunday’s missing companion.
Inspired gift…because I was looking for it.
What might you be looking for today?
I pulled a book off my shelf—Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach, It’s been at least a decade since I read the author’s daily meditations. Paging through at random, I see how her wisdom has woven itself into my thinking, being, doing.
A testament to the idea—You are what you eat.
Oops! I just ate a S’mores cookie...and hoping I don’t become a marshmallow.
On a more serious note, your topic about what we are looking for and how that affects outcomes seems applicable at many levels. Example: Do I watch the news? For an informed perspective, or just a small subset to confirm what I already think? Is there any “feel good” content that grounds me in my sense of shared humanity? A recent term is “doom scrolling” for folks who wear calluses on their fingers from constant swiping of their “smart” devices. What is the “scroller” looking for? I need another cookie!
