yummy!
“Neee—swaaz,” said Calliope who has a double l in her name.
“Such a simple pleasure…chatting with our waitress Coleen,” said Thalia. “We even learned that she spells her name with one l — a joy to be out in the world.”
“N-i-c-o-i-s-e: French (short for a la nicoise, literally, in the style of Nice), from feminine nicois of Nice, from Nice, France,” Urania read from Merriam -Webster.
“It was indeed a nice, delectable salad,” said Calliope. “Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, green beans, soft boiled egg, potato, and salmon…with a light touch of honey mustard dressing.”
“Not our usual lunch of leftovers or a sandwich and Cheetos,” laughed Thalia.
“You gotta admit…Henny finding and carrying home an empty Cheetos package this morning was funny…and synchronous,” said Urania.
“Do you know how hard I tried to get a photo?” asked Calliope. “The rambunctious fourleg refused to be still — now we’ve got numerous tiles of blurred black and orange on the reel.”
“Can we re-visit the feelings from yesterday’s lunch?” asked Thalia. “Sunny, warmish, spring-like day,” said Urania.
“Delectable food prepared with care,” said Thalia.
“A friend who offered genuine excitement for our new adventures…and said many kind things,” said Calliope.
“I LOVED being called an enigma,” said Urania, “enigma: a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand.”
“The context in which out friend offered the description meant we are unique — blazing our own trail,” said Thalia.
“Isn’t it NICE — DELICIOUS even — to feel excited for what might come next?” asked Calliope, named with two l(s).
“Salad for breakfast?” asked Urania.
“You’re pushing change a little too fast,” said Tahlia with a wink.
