Do you remember yesterday’s quote?
Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elemental truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would not otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have dreamed would come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets: “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it. Begin it now.”
~ W.H. Murray, The Scottish Himalayan Expedition
I’ve been thinking about all the ways providence has moved, sweeping me along, since I started The Creative’s Workshop last February.
life
shifted
touched
shaped
transformed
by
Margaret’s
colors
Mr. McNamee, the poet,
took the flowers and
threaded the stems
through his veins
then wore their heads
inside his heart,
and perfumed his breath
with their petals.Their colours bled
through his skin
and startled the world.
~Margaret O’Brien
One more thing on this Sunday morning…..
I watched Go Grandriders yesterday and can trace the trail of providence that led me to the documentary. You might like the “keep going” message that’s clear from a two minute watch of the trailer.
I want to find a way to share the film with my scootering Dad. ;)
Gail, Good story today! I liked the trailer and can see “Grandriders” being a source of inspiration. Does your dad own a smart tv? I searched YouTube and found a link (amongst all the trailers) to http://gethdmovies.club/movie/137686/ At that site it indicated either streaming or downloading were available. An account is needed (free?) to set u/n and p/w to access movies. CopyGuard in most DVD’s these days might prevent you from putting it on a flash drive or burning a DVD. Either would require the tech to use one or the other in tandem with their tv. I don’t know if this is a pirated movie site. My security software didn’t toss it out! Good luck!
Thank you Gail for all your posts, but especially for surprising me with my poem in this one!
