No!
Turtleneck
Over-sized jacket
Hair reaching for sky
I will not revive
what’s long
gone
out
of
style
Outward change
is easy….
fit
conform
keep up
Beware!
Killing you softly?
Inside change
Now there’s a ticket
to the big show
Your passage
to
freedom
This morning I watched an interview….Bill Maher and Dan Crenshaw.
The interview started and ended with a tone of respect, which I greatly appreciated.
Try hard not to offend. Try even harder not to be offended. ~Dan Crenshaw
The conversation in between was intense—questions and answers without pause.
A little more pausing would show me something.
Active listening….not listening to return fire.
But we don’t like that, do we?
We like confrontation and drama played out before our eyes?
We get what we ask for?
You’re probably asking…
Gail,
What if anything does this have to do with the eighties?!
Well, after watching the interview, a tagline from an old Radio Shack commercial repeated in my head…
You’ve got questions?
We’ve got answers.
What happens when we flip that?
Modernize it…
You’ve got answers?
We’ve got questions.
Can we approach life from a place of love over fear?
Make room for pauses?
We’re all in this together…..
Try hard not to offend. Try even harder not to be offended. ~Dan Crenshaw
You’ve got answers? We’ve got questions... This is amazing. This arrives from knowing and not from preaching. Everyone can preach, but few can listen.
