She loves me, she loves me not, she loves me….
What a silly game! Of course she loves me!
Hi everyone,
Sorry for my disappearing act.
First, my right eye is so much happier than when I last wrote. Turns out I had a corneal ulcer. Take my word for it…you don’t want one. The majority are caused by bacteria—as was the case for me. I’m feeling incredibly grateful for antibiotics right now!
Over the last ten days, I watched my mind create story after story about what was happening with my eye.
Allergies, must be allergies. Virus, I have a virus. Allergies, it has to be….it’ll get better on its own.
When the doctor entered the room he asked, “What’s going on?”
I replied, “Do you want the long or short version?”
Then I went on to tell him all the stories my mind had created. He looked in my eye and said, “You have a corneal ulcer, and while allergies or a virus could have stressed your eye, that’s not the problem.”
Huh! I thought, My mind builds so many houses without ever having been trained as a carpenter. No wonder so many of them are blown over by the slightest breeze.
Anyhow, my non-metaphorical eyes are seeing clearly again.
I’ve not made time to write because…Did you look at that photo of Henrietta!? Could you sit at a computer when adorable is constantly available?
She and I are working to establish a routine, and although Henrietta now holds top dog position, I’m committed to sharing my thoughts and questions on a daily basis again.
My mind’s gotta do something with all of its stories!
Hope you’re still interested in reading them.;)
