“Good morning,” she greeted us with a grin. “A puppy?”
“Yup—just turned a year,” I replied. “Me and my menace!”
We both laughed and continued our walks in opposite directions.
Both of us knew my reference to Henrietta was offered with genuine affection. Henrietta’s posture exudes curiosity, interest, and a desire to make friends…uhhh, maybe not with chipmunks and rabbits….
Today I took country dog to the city—a new paved park trail.
On the drive over, I had windows down and radio up. I sang along with Be a Light.
The song played in my head while I put one foot in front of the other and I thought about how we all carry a light—some of us just don’t know it yet.
Words matter.

Do you believe the world is full of hate?
My guess is fear, as the underlying condition. Then hate, anger, suspicion (maybe the Seven Deadly Sins?) arise as a way to avoid looking at our own fear. The blame game.
