location, location, location
“Did you mean environment, environment, environment for today’s title?” Calliope asked.
“Hmmm… You raise a good point.” Thalia scratched her forehead in frustration. Today’s collection of spare change was not adding up as she’d like.
Urania shared a penny. “Well… old Herriot told the tale of Tricki Woo. When the veterinarian moved the dog from his biscuit-rich mistress’ house to Skeldale House, where there were other dogs to chase and play with, Tricki dropped all of his extra pounds. He was like a new dog.”
“And in the show Ted Lasso, the coach transforms a soccer team by adding light to a grey environment?” Cal tossed in a nickel.
“And there’s our pint-sized leader Pollyanna, who transformed an entire community with a little pluck and her glad game.” Thalia tossed in another nickel.
“Here’s a quarter,” said Nia. “A quote from some guy named Alexander Den Heijer — When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”
“So it’s not only about location?” asked Cal. “Soil can be amended?”
Thalia and Nia thought about the 36 cents they’d collected.
