“Help?” asked Calliope. “I’ve got nothing to say…,”
“Do you really think gibberish was a good place to start?” asked Urania in return. “The new Oxford American Dictionary says: unintelligible or meaningless speech or writing; nonsense.”
“I don’t even know where that word popped up from! Seems appropriate though…I’ve been through the photos and the quotes…followed a couple of leads to articles…the jello refuses to set this morning,” said Calliope.
“Mama said there’d be days like this?” Thalia chirped like a chickadee.
“Ugh! Now you’ve got Van Morrison crooning in the mix? Stop!” Calliope was near tears while Urania giggled.
“Sheesh Cal—we’re allowed an off day every once in a while—relax,” said Urania.
“Stop trying so hard,” added Thalia.
“Remember that quote…something about our genius showing up when we learn to be ourselves?” asked Calliope perking up.
“Oh yeah! Shakti Gawain—wisdom comes from all parts of the world,” said Urania.
“He said, We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other people’s models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channel to open,” Thalia shared.
“Not too bad…for gibberish…thanks guys,” said Calliope.
“Welcome!” Urania and Thalia cheeped together.
Calliope had me at "the jello refuses to set this morning." Tell her it's brilliant!
