Do you avoid conflict Monty? If yes, how? What I’m thinking about is if disagreements can be re-framed as covering each other blind spots because....nobody can know everything! :) I read a book once that raised a good point—keep circling everyone back to their United goal.
This requires recognition of, and setting aside ego. Easier said than done? It’s taken me a long time to see mine.😂
Sooo... who was more surprised in the taking of the picture? And I can’t wait to hear what happened with Meghan! Wait! What? She didn’t like cats? I guess that story went to the dogs;)
That photo is a photo of a photo taken so long ago! I cannot even recall which birdhouse the mouse was peeping out of.🤷♀️ My favorite mouse experience is the one where a frighted and uprooted fellow was jostled by my spade from his sanctuary in a planter. He took refuge in my pant leg. 😁
I used to keep & maintain several bluebird houses on 2 acres of pasture. Red bellied woodpeckers wanted to set up housekeeping and thus enlarged the holes to accommodate their greater size. I finally made aluminum, armored covers with the right sized bluebird hole - 1 inch I think. Woodpeckers made quite a racket until they decided to abandon their attempt! Another box, designed for Pileated Woodpeckers, attracted Screech Owls instead. Intention versus outcome? They even hatched young in the large box for several years running!
I'd love to see a screech owl! There are wren babies making a lot of racket in a hanging ceramic nest by our back patio. Last year I watch a brood prepare to fledge. Had to leave for a wedding and the next day they were gone.
I don't think we've ever enjoyed a successful bluebird hatch. :( Swallows, sparrows and wrens run the bluebirds off every time.
In keeping with the photo today, I didn’t realize screech owls had nested in my giant “woodpecker” box. Imagine my surprise when I returned from work one day and saw an owl face peering out the opening! Even more surprise when a later return home found three owlets about to take off on their maiden flight!! That went on for several successive years...
I really dislike ANY conflict.

I "lost" an entire reply that I typed on my phone because I wasn't logged in!
I'm chillin!
Hmmmm...sounds like something I might do.🤔
