I considered
a trip
to the humane society
where I could
leave
one very loud
and itchy dog
it was only
a thought
that I shooed away
I would never
give Henny up
for we’re
part and parcel
of one another
night before
she’d slept through
after ample exercise
for body and mind
what can I learn?
Rain, rain sent me to the shops for a new pair of tennis shoes yesterday.
Henrietta napped the afternoon away while I slipped left foot and right foot into one pair after another, looking for a good fit.
The shoes I brought home are…odd in appearance…and yet, my feet immediately felt Cinderellalike when I slipped them on.
Today I’ll live the question…what happens when Henny has only a few short naps? When her need for growth and adventure is satisfied?
I have to ask. What is that growing on the wood? Some kind of mushroom?
Monty read my mind! Well, perhaps your newsletter as well. For "the young and the restless," Henny, the new dog age calculator would put her between 15 human years (@ 1 year) and 24 human years @ 2. If I may ask, how many naps did you take on average in that age range? Now that our labradoodle is nearing 4 years, even when she was approaching 3, she is a different critter! Pat her sweet head and imagine that you enjoy her youthful exuberance.
