Henrietta has a modus operandi…
She starts whining and howl crying about 1/2 mile from park entrance.
She leaps from back seat like wild lemur.
With no respect for my arm, she digs paws for maximum momentum toward gate.
She races to first furred fourleg she sees.
Her aura of unbridled excitement is not embraced by all.
No problem.
Henny rolls onto her back and submits.
I’m no threat is written all over her posture.
Here is where it gets interesting…
Henny does not give up.
She rises to her paws
coaxes and cajoles
enticing a new friendship.
Often, she hits a home run!

Deb and her first husband (Bill) had a dog (Muggins) that loved the park. LOVED the park. Would go crazy if the park was in the near future because they should GO NOW please GO NOW can we GO NOW! Saw the leash come out — PARK! Heard "park" mentioned — PARK! Heard "p-a-r-k" mentioned (eventually) — PARK! It turned into a contest, who was smarter, them or the dog? Bill mentioned they might go to the "arkpay"; Deb (not good with pig Latin) asks what? "The ARKpay!" "The WHAT?" "The... " <whisper> "park." PARK! GO NOW! reacts Muggins, who wasn't even in the room. 😁
