Did I ever mention that when the kid went to college, he called one, or both of his parents, almost every day through his first semester?
He came home more weekends than he stayed on campus?
Wonder where he got that from?
So on Tuesday, it was 77 glorious degrees in Wisconsin.
I took Henrietta first to the marsh, and second to Mukwonago County Park’s swim beach where she could wash off marsh water muck.
It felt like old times.
You’ll never guess who I wanted to tell all about it…
You, silly!
It’s you!
The most remarkable story was a conversation I shared with a boy who fished with his Dad and sister:
“Hi!” the kid called when he saw Henrietta and I stop.
“Hi! Catching anything?”
“Nah, but we just got here.”
“So you haven’t caught anything yet?” I asked, raising eyebrows he maybe couldn’t see.
“Right, not yet.”
“Well, enjoy your time!”
“Thanks, you too.”
And to Henri’s tail and my back he added, “Don’t catch the virus!”
“You either!” I returned with smiling eyes and a shake of my head.
He was what—six? seven? eight?
A comedian in the making!
No joke…today we’ve got snow flurries.
Monty's smiling. It's cooler here today too. Yesterday in the low 80's but today in the 50's (maybe).
No flurries here in PA, but rainy/windy/sunny/thunder-rainy/sunny-windy/rainy-windy... Standard spring, IOW.
