Holy moly - I don't think I would have lived to tell that story, Gail! lol. My older son came over and we visited socially-distance-like on the porch. We called (sometimes we Facetime) my younger son in Boston. I really miss him - haven't seen him since Christmas! What about your son - he had to come back home to finish out his freshman year, right?

Yes, he's been home since early March--tried out a culinary adventure and made dinner last night. :)

Oh! Since Christmas...such a long time. I hope you see him real soon--in person.

So in the past, would you have screamed at a spider or mouse? I would, and do, if I was startled, depending on how close either was to me. I can take care of teensy-eensy spiders, but anything with a crewcut merits my husband's attention. LOL! Happy Belated Mother's Day, Gail!

Maybe I would have screamed years ago. One fall while emptying flowerpots I disturbed a mouse nest. Looking for cover, one mouse ducked underneath my pant cuff and scurried up my calf. I screamed and stomped.:)

I hope you enjoyed a special Mother’s Day! Did you see your sons?

What a grand surprise! I thought Mother’s Day would warrant a break from BFN.

Just the same I hope today was perfect, notwithstanding the mouse nest and Henri’s omnivorous ways!

Was the spider’s spot hourglass shaped? Some can be unfriendly...

Nope, not an hourglass shape. If I’m not mistaken, Wisconsin is only home to a couple varieties of poisonous spiders.

Unrelated....in a family call yesterday, an Arizona relative told us a friend of a friend was but twice by a rattle snake. Many people are frequenting trails and occasionally stepping off to photograph flowers and such. Risky in the desert.

The day was great despite some snow! :)
