Evergreen
I can do a lot of things, but backing a semi-truck out of a long, winding, obstacle-strewn driveway is not one of them. Henrietta and I dawdled as we made our way from garage to cul-de-sac. Our timing was such that I was able to shout AMAZING before giving a mittened thumbs-up to the guy behind the wheel as he shifted into drive. He smiled and pointed the tip of his thumb toward the sky in return.
A smile is such a great way to start the day.
A mile or two later when I approached the cut-de-sac from the other direction I called to my neighbor, “How many did you get?”
“About three thousand.”
“Whoa! And you’re going to sell and plant them?”
“That’s the plan… twice as many as last year.”
“Thanks for a front row seat to this growth and vibrancy.”
Courage is created by seeing the good.
