Yesterday I confronted one of my long held beliefs.
Gail…Don’t be nosy. If they want you to know they’ll tell you.
You see, my thoughts were knitting fiction from threads of many colors…I felt like I was being left out of something.
The only way to stop the clicking needles was…
to ask!
Asking took courage.
Confronting long held beliefs is like wrestling Henrietta—sometimes you end up with a few bruises.
So…I selected a person who I felt I could trust.
Somebody who would give me space—without judgement.
Do you know anybody like that?
I asked.
She clarified.
The fiction stopped.
I’m back to presence.
I have a friend who talks to her horses.
They share universal wisdom.
Gaefa the Icelandic horse once told her,
“You’re here. You belong, no matter what.”
Do you feel like you belong, no matter what?
This video about horses and communication always brings me to a place of peace.
"I have a friend who talks to her horses." I talk to myself......
How true!! Well, maybe not the Mr. Ed talking horse part... Pardon my frivolity. I offered that in homage to your older readers. Ones like me! All good.
