“Ugh! Who does she think she is? The Vineyard Baker? Now we’re staging broccoli trees with poems?”
“Lay off her Thalia!” said Urania. “You complained throughout this morning’s whole walk…it was hard for her to notice the gentle caress of the wind on her cheeks.”
Thalia protested, “Complain is not the right word—I was NOT complaining! I was noodling how we’d write today’s BFN. Noodling is not complaining!”
“Breathe in, breathe out—breathe in, breathe out,” Calliope giggled. “Our point today is very simple…we’re almost finished here.”
“We are?” Thalia and Urania asked in unison.
“Jinx!” said Tahlia, giving Urania the side-eye.
“We get out of our food what we put into it,” Calliope said. “Adding a dash of fun to the chop-chop makes us all feel a little better.”
“Only if there’s dip,” said Thalia. “Hand me one of those trees, will you?”
Not boring blue cheese, I hope! 😒 And I hope the muses might start a practice of presence and connection.
Pssst! How long did the trees last?
we get out of our ..... what we put into it ; ) I love it!
