Last night before I went to yoga class, we counted 21 cucumbers fresh from the garden.
Family of 3….(counting Henny 4)
Too much, too many….
Who will take some?
flip flops flung
9 cukes rested in plastic bag
on bench with shoe cubbies beneath
delighted by number of mats
upon entering studio
I exclaimed,
So glad to see you all!
I brought fresh picked cucumbers.
all nine veggies left with somebody other than me
as I understood it
five year old twins
one boy, one girl
will enjoy cucumbers from our garden
for lunch
on second day of kindergarten

I adore cucumbers, but haven't had much luck growing them in recent years. When I have extras, I make tzaziki. Yum!
